Rasulullah sallahu alayhi wassalam made dua to Allah: “O Allah! let me not be alive and may you (O Sahabah!) also not be alive at such a time when the Aalim will not be followed, and when no respect will be shown to the wise-learned ones....

.... The people of that time will have hearts like kuffaar and their tongues will be eloquently sweet like the tongue of the Arabs.”

This hadith is talking about people like this man who have absolutely no respect for the ulama

And it seems rasullulah sallahu alayhi wassalam also said that these kinds of people are not from him

Rasullulah sallahu alayhi wassalam said: “That man is not from us (Muslims) who does not respect our elders, neither shows mercy on our young ones nor appreciates the Alim”

Rasullulah said those people will have "hearts like the kuffar" and he also said that the man who has no respect for the ulama is not from him and is not from the muslimeen

The great theologian Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya said: “Scholars of Islam and those around whose sayings revolves Fatawa are to the earth what the stars are to the heaven.

It is through them that the confused get guidance and people’s need of them is greater than their need of food and drink.” Allah makes obeying them greater than obeying parents when He says:

"O you who believe Obey Allah and the rasul, and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority”
The Ulema are the peoples refuge during calamities Many blind people have seen through them many Sunnah have been spread through them and many innovations have been effaced through them"

Respect for the ulama is vital and extremely important and as believers we have been ordered by Allah and rasullulah sallahu alayhi wassalam to respect and obey them

From this we can, see whose "proper stupid"
