Findind Arsenal's ideal LW:

(A THREAD)

With increased calls from Arsenal fans for play Auba as the number 9, it raises the question of who is able to perform at the LW spot. With the January window coming closer, I have found the ideal player

Milot Rashica (24, Werder Bremen)
For me, the ideal winger should be one that is a very good dribbler, has a low centre of gravity which makes ball retention easier, quick on the ball and a creative.

Rashica is exactly that and can play on either wing which would be an ideal fit for Arteta's 4-3-3.
Bundesliga stats:

66 appearances
28 G/A (18G, 10A)
0.58 G/A p/game, exceedeing his xG/A by +0.13
3.04 shots p/game
1.6 key passes
4.3 dribbles

A consistent performer in the German Bundesliga and amongst the league's best wingers when you consider his contribution to this team.
Last season's performance vs. other leading PL left wingers:

Leads in crosses p/game with 1
Matched Pulisic in G/A with 13
Only Rashford and Sterling averaged more shots p/game - 3.1 and 3 respectively, to Rashica's 2.6
Only Pulisic averaged more dribbles - 2.1 vs 2 p/game
Having being linked with Aston Villa in the summer transfer window and Leverkusen for January, he provides Mikel Arteta with an affordable option, being priced at around £20 million.

He would be an exciting player to watch in the PL whilst still young and yet to hit his peak.
The statistical model used to find this player:

Eden Hazard:

In his 3 best seasons (14-15, 16-17, 17-18 and 18-19):

2.2 shots p/game
2.5 key passes p/game
4.35 dribbles p/game

In his PL career, he avergaed 0.58 G/A p/game, playing mostly at LW.
