I told my brother he can't date her unless she understands why that was wrong (on the side) and he dead told her that in front of the entire family. "My sister said I can't marry you unless you turn blue." He has absolutely no chill.
Her talking points were: I don't like either but I had to vote for someone, I know he's racist but I'm not, the looting from BLM really broke my heart.

She disclosed to me that when she told my brother she voted for Trump that he sighed and got silent for 5 minutes. Like you know he was contemplating human rights vs. pussy. My lord. I need to talk to him. This isn't good.
My dad got awkward and kept saying "it's OK, it's alright" all calmly as if she was a child and spilled a glass of milk instead of voting for a monster, while my mom stopped talking English and started talking shit in my language to me and I was flailing, pretending to text.
God bless my dad and his patience. He actually asked this chick what news channels she had been watching implying "how tf as an Asian-American did you get duped" and then she told us she lives in Staten Island and my dad goes "ahhhhh makes sense". Why did he do the subtle drag??

What I did manage to say was she needs to reevaluate her stance/broaden where she gets her news from bc it seems that she was being fed lies (duh), and she didn't fight me on it. She said, "Yea probably", which gives me some hope so I'll work on it.
So after my brother and his Trump gf left I told my mom that she seems like she just didn't know and doesn't seem the brightest in terms of accessing information, and my mom blamed me for the whole thing. As an Indian mother would blame the daughter.
Anyways, I'll keep y'all updated. Currently still trying to process what tf was my Saturday evening and how someone who voted for Trump ended up in a house where our matriarch and me included are very "off with his head energy" 24/7.
