Murphy’s Laws of Combat

(And their applications to life)

//THREAD//
1.) If the enemy is in range, so are you.

Never forget that anytime you can attack someone, they can also attack you.

War is mutually destructive.

If you hit someone, make sure they don’t get back up.
2.) Incoming fire has the right of way.

When an attack is coming in, keep your head down. Victory doesn’t matter if you’re not alive to see it.
3.) Don't look conspicuous: it draws fire.

You get hit the hardest by the punch you don’t see.

Stay humble. Bragging only makes someone want to take you down.
4.) The easy way is always mined.

Nothing worth achieving was ever easy to get.

Take the beaten path, suffer in silence, make sure you pave the way for those who will come after you.
5.) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.

The best fed creatures hunt in packs.

Teamwork takes some of the pressure off of you AND applies more pressure on the target.

Just make sure your team is strong and coordinated.
6.) If you can't remember, the claymore is pointed at you.

If you’re unsure about something you’re doing, start over and do it again.

Anything lazily done will only cause damage to you and your team.
7.) If your attack is going well, you have walked into an ambush.

Remember Rule 4. If something seems to easy, it was maliciously designed that way.

Pay attention to your surroundings so you don’t get shot in the back.
8.) When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend.

If you plan on attacking, THEN ATTACK.

Anything you hold onto for too long will only blow up in your hand.

Hesitation kills.
9.) If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.

Sometimes being innovative is overrated.

Action is never overrated.

If it’s not working, cut your losses early. If it’s working, LEAN IN.
10.) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.

Red tape makes it harder for everyone, including you.

Don’t pin yourself in a corner just because you wanted to have the most intricate plan.
11.) Anything you do can get you shot, including doing nothing.

You’re going to take damage no matter what you do in life.

Remember that your reputation is the only thing that outlives you.

Make sure it’s a good one.
