Alright, Sunday morning. I want to share a peek into my own state, Nevada, and the GOP nuttiness here. Cuz I think it's representative of national GOP right now, just writ large. Nothing here is subtle.

We just elected to local school board a MAGA / Q / cyber bully with a timeline full of racism.

We also have a lot of great stuff. Our state legislature is the only one that is majority female. Our Senators are 2 Democratic women (Jackie Rosen & Catherine Cortez Masto). Our Dem governor showed what courage looks like in closing the Strip this summer.
But our GOP is getting both more popular & more extreme.
2 reasons:
1) among the worst school system in the nation
2) increasing economic desperation (we now have 2nd highest unemployment in nation).
Those conditions together make a Petrie dish for right-wing extremism

So that's my state. A little microcosm of how nutty the GOP has gotten.
And by nutty, I mean white-nationalist, science-denying, gun-fetishizing, and inequality-championing.
