We are a non-essential service. We are well aware of this and daily we question why we should be open and possibly exposing ourselves to the pandemic.

Friday’s announcement of Hamilton becoming a Covid Red Zone shed some light on our query.
We are all being told to only travel to work, school, groceries, medical services, etc. (And we are on board with this) but, this then means people should not be coming to our shop to acquire our services. (Again, we support this)
Are we non-essential businesses having to remain open without responsibly acting clients in order to be denied any sort of assistance because we haven’t been officially told to close? This seems to be how it’s happening.
So our choices are to either close up and risk permanent closure or continue to stay open and have to make ends meet by providing non-essential services to those who willfully will defy the conditions of the Red Zone? This won’t bode well for the personal service industry.
