I think Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been out long enough now to unleash my #1 criticism of it: it contains the single worst joke in the history of video games.
In one world event, a bard asks you to rough up a bishop who keeps shouting that the bard is playing the devil's music. You throw a few fists and the bishop backs down. As thanks, the bard is inspired to write a new song, "Smack My Bishop."
Ever since playing, this has kept me up at night. I am haunted by it. I lie awake thinking of the writer who spent decades waiting to get this pun into something. How long were they sitting on this? Since 1997? I need answers.
Not to harp on this, but how many hours went into creating an entire event to setup an elaborate Prodigy joke? What's the amount of cumulative money that was spent paying people to create this? Is this the most costly Prodigy joke ever made? Is it the only Prodigy joke ever made?
