Following temptations and harmful desires

Retweet and share with others ان شاء الله someone will benefit from this.
First and foremost we need to understand we are human beings and the reality is that we will slip up.
Sometimes, many people are very harsh with themselves. The feeling of guilt and regret leaves a big stain on one's heart;
Sometimes, many people are very harsh with themselves. The feeling of guilt and regret leaves a big stain on one's heart;
This stain can feel like a blemish upon one's record and life. Many people complain that they feel too sinful to go to the mosque or read the Qura'n; every time they think of engaging themselves in worship,
They begin to remember all the sins that they have done and are consequently put off from doing any good act at all. This is a result of a heavy heart.
Whenever we get an urge or thought to carry out a sinful desire try to remember the harms.

Anything which is prohibited by الله سبحانه وتعالى and رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم has many reasons. Sometimes we as weak servants may not understand why. Only if we abstain from the harmful temptations we will understand
And show gratitude.
Shaytan will always whisper to us to carry out a harmful temptation. On the day of judgment he will say:
فَلَا تَلُومُونِي وَلُومُوا أَنفُسَكُم ۖ
"So don't blame me, blame yourselves". (14:22).

Harmful temptations and desires can also have a mental effect on our heart and life.
If we don't carry it out we may not feel the same.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"All of the sons of Adam are sinners but the best amongst those who sin,
If we don't carry it out we may not feel the same.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"All of the sons of Adam are sinners but the best amongst those who sin,
Are those who constantly repent".
(Tirmidhi).
Similarly he صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
"The one who repents is like the one who did not sin (in the first instance)".
(Mishkat Al-Masabih)
Never lose hope in becoming a better person and Muslim

If you are struggling with these harmful temptations and desires speak to someone you trust or someone who will help you.
Don't feel disheartened and lose hope over it.
Constantly pray and make dua to الله سبحانه وتعالى that you can stop.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ.
O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer. Surely, Allah is with those who are patient.
Qura'n (2:153)
