I will be sharing a few observations from yesterday’s #MillionMAGAMarch throughout the day. One thing I immediately noticed was the strong representation of Chinese protesters, who clearly see Trump as a counterpoint to the #CCP and Chinese totalitarianism.
Predictably, some claim the crowd was small or that numbers were inflated to make up for a lackluster showing.

It’s all hogwash.

The crowd was enormous, even by DC standards. Easily, there were tens of thousands of Trump supporters stretching from Freedom Plaza to the Capitol https://twitter.com/davidfrum/status/1327633254309040129
This was not just a sea of white faces, either. I was surprised by the number of Chinese and Vietnamese protesters. I met Cubans, Venezuelans (all good looking), Filipinos, Arabs, Romanians, black Americans, and many others.

Uniting feature: this was a very blue-collar crowd
It was also a very well-behaved group. Lots of overt politeness, typical Midwest “nice,” group prayers, and when a few younger fellas began shouting back at some Antifa counter protesters, a Boomer grandma near me begged the men to stop and instead, “pray for them.”
I began supporting Trump relatively recently (I was a NeverTrumper until the Spring of this year), but I was shocked by the contrast between what I’ve heard about Trump supporters, and what I experienced firsthand.
I’ve been to a lot of white-collar political events in my lifetime- renowned speakers, fancy venues, and expensive multi-course meals- but this one was special to me. I was impressed by the passion of the crowd and their humble patriotism.

It was great. Glad I went.
