The keyboard was broken, so I bought a portable keyboard to go on top of it.

I eventually won the Walter grant from @diversebooks that allowed me to replace it and finish writing THUG.

My point is this - your situation may be tough. Things may be falling apart literally, but hold on to your dream and know there are better days ahead.
