I note this for two reasons. 1) Constituents reached out this week (rightfully) asking what I was doing to address this pandemic, and it’s infuriating we haven’t been able to draft or introduce new bills to address the public health crisis. 1/
2) It shows, once again, that the legislature is a deliberatively slow-moving body. It is not equipped to quickly respond to emergencies vs. the Governor’s office utilizing emergency powers to respond quickly.

The GOP successfully sued to strike down those powers.
