Large accounts on Twitter such as @Squawka / @goal / @brfootball
formulate a large majority of public football opinion due to their large influence and spread across the football community.

I will be showing why you must be careful because hate and bias bleed into everything.
Today I’ll be showcasing how Bias begins from the top, showcasing chief writer and head at Squawka Muhammad Butt’s tweets and how his bias clearly affects the public opinion.
Let me preface, everyone is entitled to their opinion, ESPECIALLY in sport. However, large pages like these should thrive to be as objective and as impartial as possible as they possess a strong power in swaying the general public’s opinion.
Difference in opinion is fine, but when clear hate for a player takes over your objective reasoning, you get an example such as Muhammad today. I will be showcasing some rather sad tweets and showing that even at the top of football media, there is this hate and bias towards CR7.
I am not going to psycho analyze every single tweet he has against CR7, but the point is, this man tweet about him a lot. A LOT. And it is exponential in comparison to every other player. Sift through his page and you’ll find Ronaldo more than anyone. 1 in 100 is maybe positive.

IN THE END. You can like whoever you want and talk shit about whoever you want. But to act like you’re impartial online (on Squawka of course) and displaying disproportional amounts of hate to one player is sad and considering their influence on public opinion... depressing.

Muhammad has a great knowledge of the game otherwise, not trying to discredit him in that way.

It’s just sad to see agendas bleed into work when they clearly have something great going on there on @Squawka
Point is. Do your research kids and form your own opinion. Not going to yell around saying FAKE NEWS because I hate those very people but it’s important to be careful.
Also. Yes I’m a Madrid fan. And of course I have bias. So please don’t waste your time searching me up.

The difference with me is I currently don’t hold a massive influence on public opinion 😭
