The 10 point plan will not be credible as either environmental or stimulus plan without some proper money. Again, Germany has announced €40bn for explicitly green projects, France has announced around €30bn. The UK has so far announced £5bn.
The government won’t catalyse world leading hydrogen, CCS, battery, EV charging, and nature based solution industries with spending pledges that are a rounding error in the grand scheme of things. There needs to be a willingness to borrow to invest at scale.
Not least because that is what many of the UK’s most successful economic competitors are doing right now.
