4)what is very problematic even on a sympathetic reading of the #LLF materials & process, which emphasizes the fact that we may want to be a church that celebrates difference, is that this cannot be effected until bishops internally model those differences in a public manner....
5) this also relates to those LGBTQIA+ bishops partnered or not & bishops who are ‘private’ LGBTQIA+ ‘allies.’ If they are not now able as part of #LLF to be vulnerable & ‘come out’ themselves, it undermines what the bishops themselves envisage the #LLF process in part to be....
6) & it also problematically increases the distinction between the episcopacy and the rest of the church: the church in general cannot be called to be vulnerable and open if the bishops fail to be vulnerable and open themselves.
