1. Ok first— do not level up every single character that you get!

The game starts you off with free characters to let you test them out, but you can only use 4 characters At A Time when fighting/adventuring AND you can always pull (aka the wish system) more characters later on
If you’re strictly free-to-play (aka you dont spend real money) then you have a limited option anyway until you earn gems to make wishes & maybe get lucky; SO focus on the free characters that you like most! I recommend: 1 archer, 1 claymore user, 1 mage, & 4th is whoever u want
I say this because if you spend all of your resources on every single character... you’ll quickly run out and have to farm for more materials when you could be just vibing and exploring the world instead!
2. Prioritize your time & materials!

It can get kinda overwhelming because all of your babies need SMTH right? But focus on 1 or 2 of them at a time, the ones who are your beefy damage dealers 😤 level them up FIRST so they can carry the rest of your team, til everyone is equal
When leveling I think prioritization should be, for example: level your character to 40, then level their weapon to 40, then level up their talents (this will give them higher damage). Then level character to 50, weapon to 50, talent. Character to 60, weapon to 60, TALENT- repeat
3. USE YOUR RESIN EVERY DAYYYY

So if you’re like me, you probably just ran around at the start, explored, did story quests, dunno wtf is resin lol 😩 it’s basically your “limit” for the in real life day. You get 160 total (used to be 120) to spend however you want-
Early game, you should just spend resin on doing ley lines- the blue lines give exp materials (for leveling characters higher) and yellow lines give MONEYYY PLS U WILL NEED MONEY LATER ON, SO MUCH MONEY. You can also use resin to fight the world bosses to ascension materials
When you run out of resin for the day, I wouldn’t recommend spending any of your gems or fragile resins to refill it unless you’re over AR 35 (I’ll explain soon). Before AR 35, just find other activities to do while resin refills itself over time- or wait til next day
4. Research “builds” for your characters

This!!!! Is very important!!! And touches on the point of not wasting materials! I recommend doing this early on but it’s never too late to do it tbh. What I did was find guides online by literally googling “best build for this character”
A character’s “build” is basically: which weapons are BEST for them, which artifacts/gear is BEST for them to make them strong like hulk 🥵 Most build guides include options for free-to-play people too, so you don’t feel like you HAVE TO spend money to *maybe* get a 5 star weapon
5. DON’T FARM FOR BETTER ARTIFACTS UNTIL AR 35

Once you go on youtube and see how strong people are even though they’re using the same characters as you, it can be tempting to copy everything they’ve done to get there, but Wait until AR 35! You will save a bit of time because-
-the drop rate for 4 STAR ARTIFACTS increases at AR 35! For example, I use Venti and everyone said the Viridescent Venerer set is BEST for anemo support characters! So I went to get it! And it wouldn’t fckin drop! I literally only got 2 of them before I became AR 35 😭
I didn’t get the full set until THE EXACT DAY that I became AR 35 🗿still lucky, my friend didn’t have the same result... anyway, better artifacts await you at AR 35 & above. For now, use the ones you have because they’re also important. But later on, AIM for 4 star & 5 stars!
6. You can mark things on your map!

A more basic tip but it rly helps, say, if you need to collect a certain flower or material to ascend your character but you always forget where that damn flower is so you gotta google it every time! Just mark the locations on your map bby 🥺
this is also helpful if you need to collect ores— I think the new update added a feature where talking to a blacksmith in town can point you in the right direction, BUT theres literally so much ore ALL OVER THE PLACE so it’s best to mark the spot whenever you find a new one!
7. Don’t.... increase the world level until you’re ready 💀

Once you reach certain AR levels, it will tell you to do a quest to increase the world level. Spoiler alert: monsters get harder and HIT harder so please level your characters before doing the quest!
if a monster is a higher level than you, they will automatically hit for about twice as much damage. you will get knocked tf out unless your character has some nice amount of defense but 💀 it’s better to make sure your characters are always the same level/higher level than them
when you reach AR 40 it will NOT let you do a quest; your world level will increase to level 5 automatically so good luck 🤡 I noticed immediately that I got hit more often, like the monsters didn’t seem AS stupid; but it wasn’t too bad cuz I kept leveling my characters up too
8. Open every chest you come across! Every single one

Should’ve put this higher on the list but pls, every chest is important cuz you get all sorts of materials and exp just from opening them! This is important cuz eventually you run out of story quests and need something to do
9. 5 star characters are like iPhones

literally lmao theyre brand new and they look nice, they can do nice things, buttttt... you still need to work hard and build them properly before they can actually k*ll stuff. so don’t worry if you don’t have any 5 star character-
-EVERY character in the game can do some MAD damage if you level them up and give them good artifacts and weapons. even Amber can become a dps and vore monsters with no problem! so don’t get sucked into spending a bunch of money to play the character lottery- I have done this 🤡
10. jUsT hAvE fUn 🥴

- I didnt have a #10 but it felt wrong to end on 9 SO DONT WORRY ABOUT ALL THIS CRAP IVE SAID TBH... it’s a solo game with an amazing story and fun characters, you should focus on having fun and enjoying yourself and your 3D wives and/or husbands 🥺
