so former nazis can join leftist spaces and just openly discuss what they learned while they were in the alt-right but jewish leftists are treated like classist traitors due to widespread antisemitic biases that almost no goyish leftists care to examine within themselves? okay
and no i’m not over here like “don’t let people grow and learn >:(“ literally imagine if that was my point. no. i’m saying that if you care about jewish and romani people (which has yet to be proven) then show it. if you’re gonna let in former nazis, then fight antisemitism too.
(and fight antiziganism, which is the bigotry towards romani people. please add that word to your vocabulary because it’s severely overlooked in every political space i’ve come across.)
and the tolerance for bigotry in leftist spaces IS the problem. the alt-right is conditioned to be racist, ableist, transphobic, homophobic. if you’re going to take on the rehabilitation of extremists, you need to fight the bigotry they propagated and DON’T propagate it yourself.
what i’m saying is, if you’re an ex-nazi coming from the alt-right where bigotry is encouraged entering a leftist space where that same bigotry is allowed, are you changed? or are you just utilizing a progressive space to develop a savior complex for those same vulnerable groups?
it was just jarring to see a leftist so open about their former alt-right affiliation. my commentary is not on the fact that they shared it. it’s on the irony in knowing that when alt-right nazis harass me on this website, countless “edgy” leftist accounts almost always join in.
