Griselda x Shady Records x Roc Nation - A Thread

Literally no one outside of their respective camps knows the exact details of these artists contracts or the relationships of the artists themselves, however

Lets focus on what we DO know:

👇
Well, Conway himself stated that their unique deal never demanded ANY assistance from Shady Records, for any non-Shady releases, & to sigh a deal that allowed Griselda to drop when they wanted was ideal for them
Cont:

Conway: "were not asking for money.. it works for everybody"
Conway also explained that Griselda originally never wanted to sign to a major, & only approached Paul about his side management firm, before Eminem stepped in to offer a deal once he heard The Cow.

This info implies that the arrangement was Eminem's idea, not Paul's.

👇🏾 It
Also suggests that Griselda was unlikely to sign a long, multi-album contract with Shady, given they never wanted to spend their careers on a major label.

This is obviously conjecture on my part, but it should put to rest the cries that they went to Roc Nation because of any 👇🏾
Dissatisfaction with Shady.

Speaking of, The Roc did not come into the picture until August of 2019, long after Shady & Griselda had negotiated their contract which NORMALLY, a manager would do for the artist.

Some people have suggested that Roc Nation should 👇🏾
shoulder some of the criticism that Griselda fans have had with Shady's lack of promotion.

That is NOT a managers job.

Roc Nation would network & negotiate for their client, they have nothing to do with marketing an album

Why Westside Gunn chose to express displeasure with👇🏾
Shady over not mentioning their BET nomination, or why he saw fit to fan the flames of fans crying for more promotion, may all simply be down to his personality

Westside Gunn has shown if he has a problem with someone he makes it clear. To that person, not to the world/fans.👇🏾
Conclusion: I know that this is common knowledge for many fans of each camp, but I wanted to make my position known that I do not support slander of Griselda Records, Shady Records and ESPECIALLY not Roc Nation.
Oh and, furthermore, Benny also stated that he was approached by Shady Records to sign after West & Con, & he stared its "All love" between them.

Clarifying that he only declined because he no longer feels that he needs the help
Fabs claiming Shady "failed" or "didn't do anything" for Griselda aren't factoring in the numbers post-Shady deal vs pre-Shady deal

Yes Griselda was a self-sufficient movement pre-Shady, but they weren't getting multi millions of views for multiple music vids in 2015-16, nor 👇🏾
would they be exposed to the industry to make the level of contacts that they've made sense

Shady is BOUTIQUE label, very small in size

Fans too often mistakenly expect Shady to create stars, forgetting that Em & 50 were signed to Aftermath/Interscope

Dre makes stars not Paul.
