City and state governments forcibly closing businesses for a pandemic while not having the fiscal backing from the federal government to replace wages and benefits is a symptom of the total dysfunction of America.
A country that has no comprehensive social welfare system in place and has employer based Healthcare is totally ill equipped to deal with a pandemic requiring localized restrictions of commerce and economic activity.
While liberals love to make fun of the anti lockdown crowd, they are an obvious inevitability of a society which has determined that the only way to secure basic human needs is from serving whatever capital demands.
