A couple of things I learned since just starting a newsletter:

- A niche in the beginning is ideal but not a must.

- Your niche isn't just something you enjoy writing about.

- Curate ideas of others, but write with your own voice. https://twitter.com/jspector/status/1327143377092161537
- Writing is easy once you get started.

- Laziness is just a sign of fear.

- If you write a weey newsletter, write it 1 or 2 days before sending. That'll give you time to absorb ideas you consume.
- What to curate: what read, watch listen. Be you.

- Share something of your own (a blog post, a tweet thread, your experience, learning,...)
- My process of curating for a newsletter:

+ Read other newsletters and save articles in @Pocket.

+ Schedule time to read and tweet what I read.

+ Select articles to include in newsletter

+ Write a tease for each article from a personal perspective.
- The fun comes from writing the newsletter itself.

- Focus on giving value.

- Connect with newsletter writers.

- Don't bite more than you can chew.

- One step at a time.
But the greatest learning of all:

You learn more by doing. Instead of lamenting why no one cares, why not just write? Start something of your own, invest time in it, keep learning to improve, and DON'T QUIT. Your effort will pay off.
