It is increasingly clear that something like this is afoot.
But in any case, even if there is not some hidden neoliberal or fascistic agenda, it is perfectly obvious (as I've made clear in many tweets) that the insane over-reaction to the virus is destroying economies ...

and livelihoods and whole ways of life, with much of the destruction essentially permanent. The burden is falling overwhelmingly on the nation's and the world's proles -- workers/poor/precariat. They are taking it on the chin and it is going to get MUCH worse over years...
and decades, unless drastic corrective action is taken, starting with a vigorous community of dissent from the mainstream narrative.
This is truly a catastrophe for the global working class and precariat. In all probability it will be, ultimately, the worst setback of all time.

As such, this is THE left issue of our lifetimes and age.

of the global proletariat (not to mention the domestic proletariat) -- seem unable, or unwilling, to see this, and to elaborate some semblance of dissent. Hell, the fucking Trumpists are more an active community of dissent than the so-called "left".

No meaningful dissent in Counterpunch, Jacobin, The Nation, or any other left/socialist platform.

The silence is quite jaw-dropping, to me, and causes me to question my own self-identification as leftist. If THIS (incredible silence) characterizes the left, then maybe I'm no longer on the left.

I am beginning to question the authenticity of ALL so-called "leftists" and "anti-imperialists" -- those just mentioned, and many many others.
If they are ALL missing this -- the biggest, most egregious, most catastrophic anti-worker, anti-poor, racist, sexist, and ageist phenomenon of (probably) all time -- then what are they good for? And what does "left" MEAN anymore?
