Thread. Learning, growing, and still human.
It really has been a crazy roller coaster ride for me in the past couple of years. Not only did I see the light of how corrupt this out-going president really is, but my worldview completely changed. My tweets sometimes doesn't do it's justice with how overwhelming it's been from
receiving new information about how the world works outside of my bubble. Especially realizing how wrong and hateful my previous worldview was. I know I've done my best to atone for my sins and is working on moving forward in a new chapter in my life which is getting ready to run
for office. One of the biggest lessons I've learned was to hear the different viewpoints of others & realize how privileged I was, even with the issues I've dealt with in life & on social media. This is one of the reasons why I have decided to run for the city council in 2022.
I want to bring the same approach that was given to me on Twitter to my community to get people talking to each other and help heal our country from being torn apart by this administration and right-wing propaganda. However, even with everything that I've learned I need to
acknowledge that I am still human. I still make mistakes and can be petty at times. I will be first to admit that I am far from being a saint, and I got to learn the difference between petty trolling comments and constructive criticism. I got to learn that when it's time to move
on from an issue & continue to fight for it, and all of these lessons will help me be a stronger fighter for the people when I run. Even with the ups & downs of this right, I am grateful for everyone that stood by me, forgave me, and educate me. I am a proud Dem, Vet, & American.
