COVID-19 update: Shutting down
I am not a big fan of shutting down any city to contain COVID-19 simply because I don’t think it will help. The only reason to shut down the city is to protect our hospital system. But we are not on an island.
surrounding counties w/o a mask mandate are sending their sickest to our city, thus adding to the burden.I believe our success falls squarely upon convincing the anti-mask cult to wear a mask, and have politicians realize that what we have is a pandemic and not a political agenda
Our positivity rate was at 12% earlier this week. Any higher and a mandate is possible where ther are no dine-ins, and masks must be worn at all times in gyms and churches. I actually think they should wear a mask indoors at all times.
If at a restaurant, pull your mask aside to feed yourself, then mask up while chewing. It’s inconvenient but also explains why I haven’t gone out to eat since March.
UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS A DIRECT CORRELATION BETWEEN THE ECONOMY AND WEARING A MASK.
THE MORE PEOPLE WEAR A MASK, THE GREATER LIKELIHOOD BUSINESSES STAY OPEN, LIKE HOW EVERY PROFESSIONAL SPORT THAT HAS MANAGED TO STAY IN BUSINESS.
Protect yourselves and your loved ones. #COVID19 #notsixfeetunder
