This is what @MattWolfAB is trying to distract everyone from with his racist comments last night.

A thread 👇🏾🧵 #ableg
It starts with a pre-pandemic rally for Biden featuring Gov. Whitmer of Michigan.

She was reportedly on a shortlist for VP. At the very least, she was set & committed to play a crucial role for Biden's national campaign.
After a US Federal Judge struck down the pipeline's approval stemming from Trump's 2017 Presidential order, Trump overstepped the Judge by rescinding the older order and signing this new more powerful one.
Gov. Whitmer makes it official and joins Biden's campaign as National Co-Chair.
KXL's approval was in direct contradiction to policy positions Obama/Biden took during their term.

This isn't a controversial take.

This is actually what should be expected from Biden especially given the growing support for the Green New Deal in the US lead by AOC.
After damage is discovered on Enbridge's Line 5 pipeline and the company is acting uncooperative & hostile towards gov't intervention, evening restarting part of the pipeline system before a full investigation, Gov. Whitmer's AG takes action in court to suspend Line 5's operation
Then this dumb shit happens.

Kenney knowing full well the trouble Line 5 is going through in Michigan and how Michigan's Governor is Biden's campaign co-chair, and Biden's stated intent to shut down Keystone XL, he makes arguably his 2nd most objectively terrible financial play.
Kenney is pushing his chips in the middle hoping Trump will be re-elected.

Which is highly risky considering we're talking about a historically terrible US President who's been impeached and has tanking approval ratings. Especially in key swing states.
Whoooop, there it is!
Kenney then starts flexing his diplomatic muscle and signals to Gov. Whitmer and her AG some sentiments which I'm sure they will appreciate considering the situation Kenney has placed Alberta in.

Wait, he said WHAT?
Oh god. You know what, it's going to be a miracle if the pipeline just doesn't spontaneously combust at this point considering how toxic and corrosive Kenney's leadership here has been.

Oh, wait, here we go. Breaking news from Michigan a day after Kenney's ridiculous comment:
I was highlighting the relationship between Biden & Whitmer because they share similar policy positions in this arena and literally work together on policy.

This headline reads Line 5, but I'm willing to bet we will see a similar one for Keystone XL.
Ouch. I wonder if we can get some sort of comment from the Premier's office here considering the gravity of this move and how Keystone XL's future is very much in play here.
Genocide denial? Wow. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Amplifying racist MF genocide denial to distract people from this absolute disaster?!

That's what we, the public, get?

Is it 2023 yet?

We're in a sinking ship without a real captain.
⚠️ Important to underscore yet another unprofessional & disgusting attack on women from the UCP. The "brain dead" comment doesn't get made to a male Governor

⚠️ Indigenous people in Canada were subjected to genocide. Period. Denial is beneath the dignity of the Premier's office.
