My thoughts on the Coronavirus Vaccine(s)

1./ I am not an antivaxxer - I and my family have been vaccinated against all the usual suspects. Vaccination is one of our greatest achievements
2./ Processes and protocols around vaccination have evolved over 200 hundred years of science, to ensure they are safe. An analogy is air-safety. It is safe because of the rigorous application of safety protocols, and evolution of safety processes and analysis of failure.
3./ In both cases, things go badly wrong when we short-cut these safety protocols. Often this happens due to economics, corruption, and politics. Right now this is happening with the COVID-19 vaccine.
4./ Phase 3 trials are there for a reason. A critical part of the safety process. Skipping or short-cutting phase 3 trials is nothing more than a massive gamble with public health. This is what is being proposed. The Pfizer vaccine will not complete Phase 3 trials until 2022
5./ Given the risk to the healthy general population is so low for coronavirus. Rushing to vaccinate the population makes this an even bigger gamble. The risk of vaccination must be lower than the risk of the disease. How can we be sure this is the case if you are young & healthy
6./ The Covid-19 vaccine machine has become virtually unstoppable - politics and greed are the fuel, public safety and health has become secondary. This is a huge worry.
7./ All signs point to our governments using coercion and fear to force a vaccination on us. A vaccination that the large majority of us do not need. I think this is indisputable.
8./ Will I take the vaccination? Not until it has completed all the usual rigorous safety protocols and processes. Do I need to? probably not. Will it be effective ? Unlikely.
But I am sure coercion via a health passport will happen.
9./ A health passport is a horrifying idea. Without it your ability to "live" will be restricted. You wont be able to travel, attend sporting events, business conferences. It will be Social Credit in wrapping paper. This scares me.
We must resist this with everything we can.
