I'm not inside the industry, but I am committed to doing what I can from the outside, which sometimes means pushing friends of the marginalized toward true allyship. Black folk in Nashville are not weak, but they do lack industry power—& they need those who have it to use theirs https://twitter.com/AnnVerWiebe/status/1327624204548677632
I am cognizant that my feed can skew toward the angry or frustrated, but that is wholly reflective of the conversations I regularly have w/ ppl who have been harmed by this industry.

Things have to change, and change doesn't happen in a vacuum.
It's interesting that a lot of folk in my mentions seem to think I'm some race-baiting grifter fishing for clicks. On the contrary, I have a whole career to attend to but choose to wade into the waters of white supremacy on behalf of ppl I know and love, and some I'll never meet.
Y'all don't have to like me. At all. But if you're gonna be here, at least listen. Go back and read the material. Learn how this industry works. And understand that if I seem this mad, the people who have tried/are trying to build careers in this space are *infinitely* moreso.
Again, my DMs are open. Lots of liberal white dudes came w/ some BS last night, but I'm leaving them open for folk who wanna have real dialogue and effect real change.
