People have been messaging me questions about - how Serenity got Covid (especially with it being “rare in children/babies”) - along w/ other questions.
I don’t mind sharing her experience, if it can open the eyes & minds of how erratic this virus is.

On Saturday, October 31st I went to my parents house to help my dad w/ something. My mom looked sluggish, but she thought she was just tired from work. She held the baby for 15min max, put her to sleep in her swing & went to lay down.
Monday, Nov. 2nd, my mom is at her doctor - fever, body aches, and eventually tested positive for COVID. We get the call Monday evening, and by Tuesday, Nov. 3rd the baby, myself, and my kids are getting tested. All tests come back negative.
Fast forward to Monday, Nov. 9th. Serenity has a low grade fever & diarrhea. I’m thinking she is “teething”. Wednesday, Nov. 11th she is in the ER - can’t breathe, vomiting, fever 103.1. They immediately put her on oxygen, fluids, & begin running tests.
Wednesday & Thursday were the worse days of her symptoms. Thursday afternoon she started to progress.
Babies and kids CAN get the virus. It was rare at a time. It was rare that, even if they had it - they didn’t have symptoms.
The nurse told me that this week, the influx of kids cases w/ symptoms has been unreal. Particularly ages 5-15.
