Problem is less that Democrats' message is bad, more than they have no message and no effective capacity for disseminating their message to the public.
3 steps to effective mass communications, in order:
1) get their attention
2) get them to remember what you say
3) make what they remember persuasive (changes their beliefs of behaviors)

how many advertisements for Democratic candidates have you seen in the last year that manage to even cross the first hurdle?
we can focus on which messages are persuasive til the cows come home, but it's all debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin while we lack the propaganda organs the right has and dash impotently up against the attention and recall issues.

Say what you will about these catchphrases, they're imbued with a specific (if warped) meaning by Trump's supporters and very specific parts of Trump's policy agenda are invoked when they're uttered.
Dems have "Medicare for All" which works well here but most Dems oppose it!
I continue to think about Jon Ossoff's 2017 race where the mantra I took away from campaign was the so-bad-its-good pitch to "Consolidate Federal Data Centers"
He's not wrong! High-pressure salesman tricks works better than what Dem advertising consultants pitch! https://twitter.com/HarryBaker_MD/status/1327648551011278851
People say this but it's hard to think of groups of people with fewer material interests in common than the impoverished Appalachian rednecks and Connecticut yacht frat guys who make up the twin pillars of Trumpism https://twitter.com/Superninfreak/status/1327659271417458689
