#WomenWontWheest I'm sorry to say that some Edinburgh residents (and groupies) are challenging the right of women to display slates, expressing women's rights. They are suggesting we have hidden razor blades behind them to hurt those removing the slates (all lies, same with 1/
the scare stories about women hiding blades behind stickers, horrible scare stories spread to demonise women). They are suggesting we are not motivated by our rights, the laws to protect us, our safe spaces, our sports, our prisons - they are wrong, but it's easier to just 2/
call women names isn't it, than deal with the facts? The women displaying these slates are your average women on the street - all skin colours, all classes, all political leanings, all religions and none, all live in Scotland, all passionate about our world 3/
If you want to know why women feel the need to share these messages then just talk to us. Please don't call us names, accuse us of racism and bigotry and worse. Just read through this thread, see what has been displayed. And then talk to us. Even if you disagree 4/
