It’s funny that Ryan Pace’s draft classes are far & away better than Bill Belichick and you’d see plenty of the bloggers worship that man’s GM skills while wanting Pace fired for trading up to get the consensus top QB in the ‘17 draft all because every fan watched 3 Deshaun games

And obviously bill is very good at what he does outside of his draft classes, just a funny observation as w Ryan Pace his draft classes are more productive than easily over half the NFL. But again, his whole reputation comes down to a national audience watching Clemson beat Bama

This is how people think, “*bolded* I could have told you to take Deshaun, I watched him beat Bama and I’ve never heard of Mitchell Trubisky” therefore pace is an IDIOT. For those who didn’t just watch a few games the decision wasn’t obvious, here are their stats v same opponent

So pace trades up to draft Trubisky, a QB who was top 10 in every statistical category in the 2016 season and was a top prospect his whole career, he gets lambasted by people that don’t watch any college tape but saw Deshaun Watson (these same ppl called Tebow a winner) & we off

So now despite drafting Eddie Goldman, Eddie Jackson, Roquan Smith, Mooney, Johnson, Nichols, Cohen, Kwiatkoski, Bush, DHC, Floyd, Whitehaire, Daniels bringing over Mack and others over 5 years, Pace “missing” on Trubisky gets amplified as all that matters.

But in reality, what really sunk pace, is the guy who sunk Trubisky. Matt Nagy. Trubisky showed more talent at the QB position than Jay Cutler, yes that’s right, Jay cutler. And some people are still sour about how cutler was treated and feel the need to take it out on Trubisky

But instead we wasted that talent by unfortunately employing a coach who had no clue how to use it, no will to adjust his system to his personnel, and no clear system really to speak of. A coach who has led the team to a league worst run game for 2 years now. Pace missed big.

But not on his draft classes really. Not on a lot of his FA signings, he’s probably done better than most there. Are bears fans not enjoying Gipson, Skrine, A rob, Hicks, Mario Edwards etc? Pace getting crushed bc the coach he hired unfortunately isn’t good. I’d give more leash
