Theatre lot, gizza little timeline of some huge influences on you. (Shows, plays, books, people + the year you loved it if you remember)
Pantos and Disney on Ice shows in Manchester and Birmingham 1994-2002. The spectacle of it, and the showbiz showing off I just found mindblowing 😂
I remember being SO jealous of the kids who were in those shows. And thinking Brian Conley was the greatest performer in the world.
Guys and Dolls, when we did it with the Summer Youth Project in Brum in 2003. The tunes banged so hard. (Before this my experience of musicals was from watching the Les Mis 10 year anniversary concert on video millions of times)
then got obsessed with The Woman in Black for GSCE (and did two other fellas coursework on it for £20 a pop - which the teacher realised because i spelt development - developement on all three 😬) around 2005. Thought that it was just so clever. And obvs i shat myself.
then around sixth form read everything I could about Peter Brook and understood probably none of it. And went to go and see EVERYTHING at the RSC when I was at Stratford college 2005-7
