@ChefTomKerridge Hi Tom, loved the expose on pubs so far, here's an example of a local we know. Half and half Cask Tie, 4 Tied Handpulls, 4 Free Handpulls. 1 Cask per week through the Tied each, 4 Casks per week through the Free each. Shows where the drinking demographic is.
It shows the homogenized offering from stale beer brands, drinking habits have changed and will only continue to change, brewers are pulling out of toxic brands like Wetherspoons, Enterprise, Punch leaving tied pubs with access only to the same stale range.
The cracking folks that were landlords have now retired, the Pub is being done up by the Pubco and will be fully tied, this probably means a slow lingering death of a great village pub.
I'm a great believer that having a bunch of pubs in a town that serve different beers to the likes of Wetherspoons, Tied Pubs and Supermarkets can be a lift to the whole town.

We're looking forward to the rest of the episodes, cheers Adrian
