Portland: My teen works a min wage job at a v expensive pizza place, one that lower income to working class folks generally aren't buying pizza from.
Tonight, 3 different customers - all white 20-somethings - declared "Black lives matter!" as some sort of greeting or farewell.

Two actually displayed the fist as they said it. 
Each of the 3 glared at my kid for not responding in kind, as she was hustling back inside to work dinner rush w her overwhelmingly POC coworkers. One coughed "white supremacist" into their fist.

She was running their pizzas outside to them, often to 2 or 3 different customers at a time (they were slammed.)
Bizarre. Now we wait to see if any of those smug, undoubtedly "financially* privileged jerks call in to complain about "racist staff" failing to recite the mantra

They're literally using luxury beliefs to justify their feelings of smug superiority over "the help."
