Proposed phases/timeline of #NortheastHeights. Development is concentrated along #MinnesotaAve and #BenningRd
Phase 1: 275,000 ft2 of new office space anchored by new @DCDGS bldg (bringing 700 employees #EOTR). This is right on Minnesota Ave, on the block with @UnityHealthCare. 1st floor is retail. P1 Timeline: Construction begins in early 2021 and completed in 2022.
Phase 2: (East River Park Shopping center) 200,000 ft2 of retail anchored by large grocery store. 1350 residential units, 90% at market rate. Will also have parking garages. P2 timeline: completed in 2026.
Phase 3: (Senator theatre) Not much info yet other than def incorporating the historical facade. P3 timeline: completed in 2028.
Minnesota Ave and Benning road intersection (they are big proponents of the @DCStreetcar eastward expansion). These are 6 story buildings.
Parks and open spaces a priority. More details coming and input welcome.
