First, Trump inherited an economy that was in good shape and moving forward at a practical manageable pace. So, he thought he would accelerate the economy, make it look like his sole doing then take credit for it. Typical for him but he didn’t plan on one small thing...COVID!
As POTUS, you have to be prepared for this stuff. Clearly, Trump was not and he literally, by his own admission, downplayed the seriousness in order to avoid any responsibility. He just cared about optics and tried to tout the stock market as his proof of success. Meanwhile...
...SHIT GOT WORSE! He went high risk/high reward with his “policy” and and it didn’t work out. So, here we are. The malignant narcissist got his ass handed to him and all he can do is demand that his participation trophy be that same as first place!
