ON REFLECTION:

1. A deal is almost over the line. This week's 'climate, climate, climate' from various MP's suggests we've moved on environment LPF. I imagine we'll have moved on employment too.
2. The Select Committee with Gove & Frost a couple of weeks ago hinted that agreement on state aid was all but over the line.

Which just leaves fishing.
3. Frost has been solid in his tweets on zonal fishing, suggesting it wasn't a sector we'd be willing to move on. Although I wouldn't be surprised at a lengthy period of status quo in regard to quotas, with just small increments in our favour yr on yr.
4. It's been reported that 600 pages of draft legal text are ready to be polished.

Maybe Cummings has served his purpose & the govt. decided he was too controversial to keep. Although I can't see what difference the extra few weeks to Xmas/stated leaving date would have made?
5. Like everyone else, I didn't vote for the same old. The Country needs change, particularly in the forgotten regions.

I'm not sure if the Tories realise it, but this is their last chance for many voters.
6. I think people are patient enough not to expect miracles overnight, but if the Tories slip back to their London-centric ways, voters will never forgive.
7. I hope to see some fresh faces in the cabinet who have an understanding for the provinces. I've tipped Lee Rowley as a good egg & hope his efforts are rewarded. I'm sure there are others who are equally deserving of a place in cabinet.

We'll see!
