Am genuinely flabbergasted at journalistic suggestions that Cummings' departure suddenly means significant change in EU-UK relations. For umpteenth time: even at its best, deal under discussion is so narrow and shallow, for many purposes, is indistinguishable from no deal at all.
You'd have thought, after 4 years of constant Brexit coverage, that some of these "leading journalists" and "prominent commentators" might have picked up at least *some* basic knowledge / understanding of the core issues, if only by unconscious osmosis. But apparently not...
I've watched more CNN in a week than in my whole prior life. And simply have to say: the intelligent ability & willingness of US journalists to slice political liars in half with facts & rational insight puts most of the third rate UK sheep to amateurish, mediocre, servile shame.
