80% of us in the last year have experienced SOME SORT OF TRANSPHOBIC HATE CRIME.
Far more details in the report which is very much worth reading, half of trans people have experienced street transphobia in the last year, 1/3 in the workplace, 1/4 at home.
Half of the abuse is directed by "transphobic activists". Half by strangers. Much from relatives.

It also has a paradoxical split in it's impact on our reactions- we become more active in trans activism but more fearful of engaging with medicine and find it harder to come out and speak up for ourselves.
It also makes us extremely vulnerable to personal abuse, makes us distrust people around us and cuts us off from communities people would normally seek help within.
It also wreaks absolute havoc on our ability to make ends meet.
29% had lost income, 24% had taken time off work due to transphobia

Of the handful who did report transphobic abuse to the police it was more likely to be a waste of time than not.
