Interracial marriages:

The Sahaba married in between tribes not ethnicities, with interracial marriages come culture clashes and language barriers (some of them losing their culture). Why would I put my parents/kids...
through this?

With many interracial marriages in the Somali community you have to be prepared to cut the ties of kinship since the majority of Somali parents are against it (some even refusing marriage in between tribes)

You have to understand that it will be a difficult...
road for you and your future wife if your in laws and your own parents cut you off. Some marriages can fall apart from this pressure.

One of you may state the Hadith which says that “a women may be married for four......”

This isn’t barring someone from making...
Any other considerations.

Take for example when the prophet (saw) told one of his companions to actually see the woman he wished to marry as it would assist him in deciding whether he should go ahead with the marriage and potentially increase his inclination towards the person.
Umar ibn al-Khattab is said to have advised people against marrying their daughters to men who were significantly older than them.

Knowing how important culture is to people and how it can affect a marriage it can also be taken as a consideration when marrying someone.
I only made this thread to clarify the things I said in CC
