No joke tho. All white queers in tech with net positive wealth should be dedicating at least 10% of their income to racial justice and/or BIPOC queer causes/fundraising
Which, putting my money where my mouth is, I still have a pretty steep hole of debt that I'm climbing out of. But i'm making progress, and I have a monthly donation of 5% of my income to @TransLifeline . My employer actually matches that for a total of 10%
I chose Trans Lifeline for a few reasons. They're well established so I can do things like set up that matching donation. They have a microgrant program that gives money directly to low income trans people and reserves 75% of the grants for BIPOC trans people
They also have a program that puts money directly into commissary funds of incarcerated trans people.

They aren't perfect. They have relatively high overhead and the funds only go to specific purposes.
But for me, this is better than seeking out individual gofundmes each month because that dispersal would be biased by my largely white friend group. It would also be difficult to keep track of and easy to forget. And one off things don't qualify for my employer match
