If the funded Emergency Active Travel scheme is delivered in Witney it will join #NCN57 to @A40Oxford cycleway with a protected East-West route. Now this is probably too much excitement already, but in my mind that is the best ever opportunity for removal of these barriers!! 🙌
And ...upgrading of the 'dirt track' which links ~1,100 residents living in Madley Park with key amenities in Witney Town Centre - currently requires wellies and a head torch after dark...🚴‍♂️👩‍🦽👩‍🦯
And.. creation of a 'quiet' route with 20mph speed limit along Church Lane with measures to stop vehicles obstructing the bend by Oxlease Play Area, a major problem for mobility scooter and wheelchair users here 👇
And.. signage to prevent vehicles trying to head across Langel Common! 👇
And... even better - once across Langel Common people on foot and bike will no longer be churned out at a barrier and awkwardly have to hop on the road in front of a roundabout.
