Okay so listen to this. The latest excuse for Sweden's failed pandemic response is not the strategy...Nonoo..Neither is it a failure of those responsible for the pandemic response.
Apparently the latest claim being pushed, is that our worse results, is because of the immigrants!

Yesterday Tegnell and 3 well known influencers in the pandemic, went out in different media outlets, and started pushing this "our bad results compared to our nordic neighbors is because we have more immigrant" bullshit.
What a strange coincidence, same day!
What a strange coincidence, same day!
Another strange coincidence, is that some of these people have been advising our government on pandemic stuff, not because they are particularly knowledgeable, but they are apparantly friends with some ministers and stuff.
These are people who signed the barrington declaration.
These are people who signed the barrington declaration.
I can swear, that at this stage the highest priority of the decisionmakers responsible for Swedens failures is to save their own asses. These are people who never take responsibility for anything.
Making excuses are the only thing they appear to be doing.

The same influencers now pushing blame on immigrants, have earlier aggressively attacked critics that have voiced opinions against the Swedish pandemic response. Effectively silenced critique and debate about our pandemic response. I'm talking cyber-bullying and desinformation.
We are always told here in Sweden "We can't evaluate the outcome of our pandemic response until later, it is to early to say what worked". It does however not seem to be too early to blame the immigrants? Without any proof at all I might add.
Something I find relevant here, is that just a few days ago, information about a study was released. This study found that people who sympathized with a party who's central issue is immigration, tended to be more skeptical towards Swedens pandemic response.
Then all of a sudden, all these influencers that I interpret have played a relevant role in fighting of critique in Sweden against the government and public health agency, they just happen to make media appearances the same day with their new theories on why we got bad results.
Apparantly our government and public health agency have done a good job. Previously it was the elderly care staff who was at fault for our deaths. Now it's apparently the immigrants faults?
The manipulation of public discourse is about as poorly handled as our pandemic response.

Feels like my country is turning into a banana republic here. Some fucking morons have hijacked Sweden and rather let people die than take responsibility for failures and protecting the citizens. It's disturbing. It's also awkward, because the failure is too big to cover up.
Don't know what to say, Sweden is a very strange place right now. Spread is rising quickly, soon hospitals will overflow, and we will still see these same morons that are responsible for this shit, go around blaming others and gaslighting the population into thinking we did ok.
As I'm on a ranting spree, figured I also would like to point out data on outcomes, appear to be pretty smelly. This is typical for how it is presented here in Sweden, but also internationally. Everything always tends to lean towards making things look better than they are.
Sweden apparantly don't follow standards on reporting, so on international sites like worldometer and ourworldindata, things always look better than they are, if data even shows up. Unlike other countries for example, Sweden reports deaths by date of death, not day reported...
So it always look like deaths currently are very low in Sweden. The thing is that deaths that happen now, might not get reported until weeks later. This makes things always look better than they are, I doubt it is a coincidence we report this way.

Unfortunately I see a lot of disinformation about Sweden flying around in herd immunity promoting circles. They look at graphs on deaths from Sweden, and it always looks very low based on the way data is presented.
Today we had 41 new deaths reported, yesterday 40, Wednesday 25, Tuesday 35. But you wouldn't know it if you looked at data reported to for example our world in data. None of these days appear to have over 10 deaths, right now!
In a couple of weeks they will have higher number, but for people wanting to use regular sources to compare countries right now, it always look like Sweden is doing very good compared with other countries. Not because of the reality being so, but because the way we report data.
Sweden has been hijacked by incompetent fraudsters, playing herd immunity experiments on my people. I'm so tired of it. Now cases are exploding, all we're going to hear is the biggest fools in Sweden, trying to save their own assess and making things look better than they are.
