instead of trying to avoid it, we've embraced it.
it's not like anyone seriously pretends that the deficit is their big concern at this point. most americans, even republicans, were happy with the cash and would be happier with more. but ~70M americans decided that it wasn't more valuable to them than owning the libs.
i don't buy the idea that voters just didn't know that this was what they were voting for or were unaware that these were the choices. maybe a few were clueless, but we can't keep pretending that tens of millions of people are children who can't understand consequences.
