what's an indoor hobby you've taken up out of sheer desperation this year that has turned out to feed you in ways you did not expect (and also what do you recommend as a kind of starter kit to get into it)

for me it has been paper crafts of all sorts bc of #penpalooza but specifically embossing; i'm OBSESSED. all you need is an embossing gun (like 12 dollars online, basically a teeny tiny superhot hairdryer), a tin of embossing powder ($5-7 from craft stores) and a rubber stamp

i'm now a full stamping/embossing scrapbook mom and i love this for me

I also have gotten into dip pen calligraphy and took a course online from the postman's knock and it was totally soothing
