Loving these answers! Curious if ethnicity & region affects this- I’m Italian from Boston & my family had a living room with TV & plastic on sofa & a study room with record player, Apple Macintosh computer & Encyclopedias (still does). We also had too many TVs
This all came about because I just noticed my husband named our LIVING ROOM the family room on the Sonos
Seeing some replies defending have 2 rooms with “I’m not rich!” or “houses were cheap in my town!” It’s all good, don’t feel guilty for having 2 rooms! Or 3 rooms! Or 4 rooms!
