EXC: Labour faces fresh racism allegations after new report finds more than one third of Muslim Labour members and supporters have witnessed Islamophobia from colleagues WITHIN the party.

The report, conducted by the Labour Muslim Network, seen exclusively by @itvnews also found:
- 44% don't believe the party takes Islamophobia seriously.
- 48% don't have confidence in the party's complaints structures.
- 59% don't feel well represented by the party.

Labour’s parliamentary candidate who stood against the PM in the last GE @ARMilani_ claims a fellow party member told him that Muslims could not be MPs because of their "propensity to violence” and asked if he was a terrorist.
The issue was reported to the party and almost a year later Milani found out that the details of the complaint had been lost.
Another anonymous respondent said they were accused of “weaponising” their religion after asking for a break so they could eat as they had been fasting.

Labour MP @ApsanaBegumMP says the party “has been in denial” about the problem and says she is constantly asked to reaffirm my commitment towards British society" because of her faith.
Labour Leader Keir Starmer and Deputy Leader and Party Chair Angela Rayner said: “Islamophobia has no place in our Party or society and we are committed to rooting it out.
