Some musings on SBCs
They used to be considerably less frequent in the older FIFA's compared to now, but they used to be either (or both) much better than what was already in the game, or so cheap that they were worth while. In FIFA 20, and even more so in FIFA 21, EA seem to /1

be releasing SBC cards way more often, and no longer better than what's in the game, but charging a premium as if it were a tradable card, for an untradable. This creates a world where Son at 600k makes no sense compared to Mane at 350k, or Messi at 650k as tradable options /2
that can be resold for 90% (or more) when they no longer fit your club, but Son would not only just be dead wood, but will also likely be out dated with in a couple of weeks based on the volume of SBC's / Promos we have this year compared to previous. And so there needs to be /3
a "wow factor" or a true reason for an SBC to be completed. If you're a spurs fan, Son is brilliant for you. But if you're not, he's just not worth it. I would love it if he was 92 Rated instead, but at a way bigger cost. Sure, that's a big card, but no bigger than say CR7, /4
or Neymar, Mbappe, or lots of the Icons that are out there, and so if it's a PREMIUM price for a PREMIUM player, then people would be required to chose wisely which SBC they complete, but knowing that when they do complete an SBC, it will be a long term investment. /5
selfishly, more SBC's is good for business for me, but as a fan of FUT, and as a consumer, I feel like we get ripped off with almost every SBC (specifically player SBC's) that EA put out right now. What are your thoughts? /end
