Place: Khurja, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
Hello @bulandshahrpol and @Uppolice, we know that there is a complete ban on firecrackers in this area.
But take a look on how you are executing the order of @UPGovt.
A child is wailing for her father.
Is this the way to impose an order?
The Bulandshahr police have replied to me with a clarification and a statement on this incident.
Posting it here so that you don't miss it. https://twitter.com/bulandshahrpol/status/1327283922686775296?s=20
This is my reply to their clarification. https://twitter.com/Soumyadipta/status/1327287606502068224?s=20
It is my personal request to @PrashantK_IPS90 to let these traders go with a warning. Please don't make a case against them or make them pay fines.
Not everybody can understand the gravity of a court or government order.
CC @bulandshahrpol, @dgpup, @adgzonemeerut, @igrangemeerut.
I also hope that this incident will serve as a reminder to all policemen in this country to treat suspects with dignity.
The suspects might have broken the law but the same law also explicitly states that human dignity should be paramount while enforcing law.

Disciplinary action has been initiated against the head constable of Bulandshahr Thana for his unsympathetic behavior towards children.
That was very quick action by @bulandshahrpol.
Thank you for setting the right example in front of the nation. https://twitter.com/bulandshahrpol/status/1327303572279742465?s=19
I criticised @bulandshahrpol.
Instead of intimidating me, they issued a statement.
They didn't try to shut me up, instead took action against their own.
This is how it should be. This is how policing is done.

Update: @bulandshahrpol Police are garnering praises.
The little girl (seen crying in the video) was brought before the SDM who fed her sweets and gave gifts.
The girl seemed happy with her father beside her. He was also released unconditionally. https://twitter.com/bulandshahrpol/status/1327356619173154816?s=19
Happy Diwali to you, Dimpy.
Glad to see the smile back on your face.
May Mata Laxmi always bless you.
Thank you @bulandshahrpol for bringing the smile back on her face.
Thanks to all the senior police officers for showing the humane side of the force. https://twitter.com/bulandshahrpol/status/1327326631715766272?s=19
My gratitude to @shalabhmani of @CMOfficeUP for intervening in the Bulandshahr matter.
Here, some on-duty police officers are seen buying Diyas from little children and giving them gifts on Diwali.
Let our police force be like this everywhere.
