Marius Zaromskis (22-9) appreciation thread ahead of his return tomorrow night at #KSW56!

The wild and unpredictable striking of Zaromskis was on full display in Cage Rage.

Here is a flying knee KO over Ross Mason from Cage Rage 22.
After becoming a fan favourite in Cage Rage, Japan came calling.

Dream brought him in to compete in the 2009 WW Grand Prix.

Which also inc: Hayato Sakurai, Shinya Aoki, Andre Galvao, John Alessio, Jason High & more.

He won his 1/4 final by decision. But still entertained!
Zaromskis then faced the legendary Hayato Sakura, who was 35-8-2 & had just finished Shinya Aoki in the quarters.

He finished him by headkick KO & then preceded to knockout Jason High (gif below) in similar fashion on the same night.

Zaromskis then travelled to America where he fought Nick Diaz for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title.

Diaz won in the final moments of round one but not before Zaromskis dropped him & nearly finished him.

What a war that fight was.
On New Years Eve of this same year Zaromskis went back to Japan to fight the iconic Sakuraba on the K-1 Fields Dynamite!! 2010 card.

An early punch caused Saukraba’s ear to seemingly burst and bleed. Eventually the ear became more torn and the fight was called for Zaromskis.
The following year he returns to Europe for the first time since his success in Japan.

And boy did it end spectacularly!

Zaromskis finishes the very respected Bruno Carvalho with a somersault KO.
Wow! Let’s look at that from a different angle.
In 2012 Bellator then acquired his services.

Zaromskis won his first three fights & posted an overall 4-3 record in Bellator, including a win over Nordine Taleb.

We didn’t see a flashy KO from the him in Bellator but he did provide some memorable highlights!

Zaromskis will now make his KSW debut. And at 40-years-old, he will aim to roll back the years against a younger Andrzej Grzebyk (17-3).
