This year, we’ve been forced to think more deeply about our careers than ever before.
One of the big questions to ask yourself as we begin to wrap up 2020 and head into a new year is: how can I future-proof my career?
In other words, how can you ensure that regardless of what’s going on in the world you can have a sustainable career?
You need 2 key things:

1️⃣ Marketable Skills

2️⃣ A personal brand
I love this quote from a recent interview with Jeff Gothelf, author of the book, Forever Employable.
So, what are your marketable skills? They include writing, public speaking, graphic design and more. Here is a graphic you can save with a number of examples.
As you begin career planning for next year, make sure gaining marketable skills and taking time to promote those marketable skills (aka building a personal brand) is at the top of your list! ✨
