May standards na pala tayong sinusunod? May checklist?
I get that we’d want them to use their platform. But I think we’re also forgetting that socmed is not the only platform. And inasmuch as it provides a quick and broad reach, it is also very loose and vulnerable. I think we all know how they have experienced the ugliest version of
that vulnerability. Of course, I celebrated when they did use it, for various reasons. But I won’t impose that they do it for every issue. I won’t demand. Gusto kong ibigay sa kanila yung choice na gawin yun kung kailan handa sila at kaya nila panindigan yung sasabihin nila. Gaya
It takes serious commitment, one that’s beyond words spoken or written, to actually go to the streets and fight alongside the people. Especially at a time when the govt is so despotic.
I just want to remind everyone na walang isang hulma ang pagiging progresibo.
Siguro nga nakaka raise tayo ng awareness tungkol sa issues dito but again, socmed is very loose. Nothing beats personal and smaller but more in-depth discourse para mas maipaintindi ang issues at para ma-raise ang level of commitment natin to do our part.
I understand yung desperation for people of influence to speak up and use their platform. But, at best, they can only amplify our calls. SOCIAL REALITIES.
